Silver Creek Systems, a provider of automated data mastering offering, said that Big Hammer Data, a division of Edgenet and data synchronisation and content management supplier, has selected DataLens System to automate data mastering processes such as content validation, standardisation, classification and custom publication for their data pool.

The company claims that the increased automation of these processes will enable faster on-boarding of new items, scaling of the number of products available online, and the ability to provide new custom content-based services to their customers.

In addition, this will also allow Big Hammer Data to enhance their existing progressive data quality offering to current suppliers in the hardlines, automotive and sporting goods industries as well as future industries they will support.

Based on semantic technology, the DataLens System recognises, extracts and transforms information in real-time through Data Mastering. Semantic technology recognises and standardises data regardless of format or source and makes it available in a format compliant with any enterprise data standards, including those defined by a master data management or by the requirements of a downstream system or customer, the company said.

Joe Czarnecky, executive vice president of data services for Big Hammer Data, said: “The DataLens System enhances our ability to validate and enforce progressive data standards on suppliers’ product content. In turn, we are able to provide more flexibility in how we deliver the data for consumption.

“This directly impacts our customers who will benefit not only from these enhanced data quality services, but from the increased speed of which they can enter data and leverage it throughout the Edgenet Network.”
