Technology consulting company Accenture has unveiled the latest version of its Accenture Foundation Platform for Oracle (AFPO).
Accenture said the version three of the APFO offers clients many new features and also provides the capability to access Oracle Applications on mobile devices.
APFO 3.0 includes repeatable designs, offers secure access to clients, and overcomes the challenges like device management and security by integrating Oracle’s mobility enterprise software, called Oracle Application Developer Framework (or ADF Mobile), said the company.
Accenture said users can deliver either packaged or custom Oracle Applications to tablets or smartphones by embracing HTML5 technology across the mobile platforms – Apple’s iOS, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Android.
APFO integrates Oracle enterprise grid management and Oracle Web services manager and APFO is used as an accelerator for clients implementing Oracle ERP offerings as well as adopting Fusion Applications.
AFPO offers a fully implemented and integrated live environment for clients to provide one centralised enterprise architecture to share, secure and analyse their data with minimum cost and risk and helps reduce the cost to implement Oracle Fusion Middleware11g offerings, said the company.
Accenture said version 3 of AFPO is delivered with documentation that allows clients to tap into Accenture’s knowledge of Oracle.
Accenture chief technology innovation officer Gavin Michael said the ability to have an Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g environment up and running in a day allows Accenture to focus on the business needs of clients, rather than getting encumbered with time-consuming configuration and integration work.
