Expected to support Skybot’s growth into the multi-platform job scheduling and automated operations space Skybot Software, a subsidiary of systems management offerings provider Help/Systems, has acquired Open Systems Management (OSM), a multi-platform job scheduling software company based in the UK.

This acquisition is expected to support Help/Systems expand its growth into the multi-platform job scheduling and automated operations space.

Help/Systems entered this niche last year with the introduction of its game-changing Skybot Scheduler enterprise job scheduling software for Windows, UNIX, and Linux, which brings faster deployment and lower cost of ownership than current offerings.

Help/Systems will be able to OSM’s large customer base and success in the areas of spooled file management and job scheduling.

Merging the development paths of Skybot Software and OSM adds over 10 years of customer input to the functional capability of Skybot Scheduler.

This acquisition is expected to benefit the existing customers of both products, and the customers will receive subsequent releases at no charge under their maintenance programme.
