Sherwood Computer Services Plc has clubbed together with City People Ltd to form a joint venture firm offering a public share dealing service: City Deal Services Ltd, 80% owned by Sherwood, will offer a Postrade service, charging UKP9 per trade and UKP1 for UKP1000 of trade value; Switch and Delta debit cards can be used when the firm starts trading on September 1; Sherwood’s Share Dealing System will be used to automate trading; the new firm, a member of the London Stock Exchange and the Securities and Futures Authority, will enable Sherwood to expand its share activities into the retail end of the market.
