Giga Information Group Inc, Gideon Gartner’s new consultancy in Cambridge, Massachusetts, may be a whiz at forecasting and assessing what’s coming down the pike when it comes to computing, but it’s clearly not so hot when it comes to forecasting stock market conditions. Giga, which, as reported, filed to go public in September, has decided to withdraw its public offering due to market conditions. On November 8, underwriter Lehman Brothers warned that the flotation was not to be completed and it would have to re-file a registration statement with the Securities & Exchange Commission.
Fujitsu Ltd has applied to the Japanese Finance Ministry for permission to make a shelf registration of up to 200bn yen – $1,740m – of corporate bonds. The registration is effective November 19.
