Savvis launches proximity hosting for exchanges and ECNs

Savvis, a business applications developer, has launched its proximity hosting that provides direct connectivity and low latency network access to five major exchanges and electronic communications networks hosted in its data center near New York City.

Savvis’s proximity hosting was engineered specifically to enhance and expand low latency connectivity solutions in the financial markets industry.

The solution leverages Savvis’s network and data center infrastructure to provide a secure, high availability hosting environment for exchanges and electronic communications networks (ECN) and a low latency connectivity service for traders, particularly those with advanced algorithmic and automated trading systems.
