The 2015 Solheim Cup has partnered with SAP to improve fan experience during the tournament.
Though the event is still a year away, SAP has introduced a Solheim Cup 2015 mobile app at the Solheim Cup Charity Promotion Event in Heidelberg, Germany.
Ladies European Tour CEO Ivan Khodabkhsh said, "Since 2013, SAP has served as the official technology partner of the Solheim Cup."
"We expect the new Solheim Cup 2015 mobile app powered by SAP HANA Cloud Platform will dramatically simplify and improve a spectator’s experience by integrating key aspects of the tournament and social media functionality into a single, visually-rich app. This fan app is just the first step in creating a breakthrough digital experience at the 2015 Solheim Cup."
The new app is powered by SAP HANA Cloud Platform and is aimed at generating publicity through fan engagement.
The app provides team and player profiles, venue information, social media functionality and an interactive quiz to keep the fans informed about the tournament, which will be held in Germany for the first time.
SAP has also integrated Solheim Cup app with another app named TwoGo by SAP, through which the audience can also avail ride sharing service, and by 2015 the app is expected to provide live streaming and prediction game challenges and real-time match and scoring details.
