Sanyo Electric Co Ltd looks like being the second to market with an Interactive Multiplayer to the 3DO Co standard. The company says it will introduce its version as the Try in Japan on October 1 and will sell it for $540 through games outlets. It plans to make 20,000 of the ARM RISC-based boxes a month, and hasn’t yet decided whether to market it abroad. It will launch with six titles, but educational programs, simulation, role-playing and action titles are planned, and Sanyo intends to provide help to software developers and aims to sell some titles under its brand name, Reuter reports from Tokyo.
