Rumours that Tony Cleaver is no longer chief executive officer of IBM UK are untrue – as from January 1 Ian Reynolds, director of marketing & services became operations director, Europe, while Nick Temple moved into Reynolds’ UK shoes by assuming the title of general manager under Tony Cleaver: Cleaver himself was once general manager reporting to Sir Edwin Nixon but while Temple’s post covers more duties than that of director of marketing and services, those added duties come from the assignment to IBM UK last July of responsibility for the AIX and Personal Systems divisions and are not being stretched because of a desire on Cleaver’s part to play more golf…
