Rohm Co Ltd says it will start mass production of large black and white liquid crystal diode displays in May, initially at a rate of 1,000 a month, rising to several thousand a month within a year: the simple matrix displays measure 10.3 by 6.7 and are designed for personal computers and for word processors.
