Retix Corp of Santa Monica, California has been selected by Electronic Data Systems to provide GOSIP products for a US government contract: the Army Information Systems’ Small Multiuser Computer contract is one of the largest government computer contracts awarded to date, with a potential value of $700m over eight years; awarded to Electronic Data Systems July last year, the contract specifies delivery of a range of multi-user computer systems and services to the Army, the Navy and the Defense Logistics Agency; Retix was chosen to supply a suite of GOSIP products including X400 Message Handling System, File Transfer, Access and Management and Virtual Terminal for Unix and MS-DOS communications.
