San Jose, California-based Reply Corp has two new OEM agreements with Microsoft Corp: Reply is buying Windows Version 3.0 and MS-DOS Version 4.01 for distribution with its Micro Channel systems, and the software applications are also offered as one combination package; Reply’s modular system design has a user-upgradeable TurboProcessor modules, a five-by-five architecture that provides five full-length Micro Channel expansion slots and five drive bays plus several integrated features: also included is extended VGA, two parallel and two serial ports, keyboard port, mouse port, and up to 16Mb of memory on the system board; system prices range from $1,800 for a Reply Model 16 16MHz 80286 system to $6,000 for a Model 32 33MHz 80486 system.
