Radiomobil as, partly owned by a consortium led by Germany’s DeTeMobil, said it aimed to take 50% of the Czech Groupe Special Mobile phone market just months after next week’s launch. It will start selling its services at 200 dealerships on Monday, covering 30% of the 10.4m Czech population with its signal, and aiming to reach 50% with the Paegas service in a few months. It is seeking to overtake Eurotel sro, which claims 20,000 customers since it started in July. Radiomobil has invested more than $100m into operations in the Czech Republic, and will invest a further $100m by mid-1997. It said in March it expected to gross about $198.3m per year by 2005 (CI No 2,979).
