One or two Compaq Computer Corp customers in the UK have reported trouble with the Systempro intelligent disk array controller, which has been throwing up a variety of faults: the company has told them that there is a known fault with controllers older than revision W, the revision letter is stamped on the end of the board; customers that first raised the problem on the CIX conferencing system say that dealers were unaware of the problem, but it is apparently covered in the Compaq advisory document 362; there is one problem – the free replacement programme ended at the end of April, though its existence was hardly publicised.
