Global communications infrastructure company PortaOne has released a new PortaClient app for the Apple iPhone, which uses PortaSwitch platform.

The company claims that the new app allows iPhone end-users access their usage data, check balances, manage their service settings, and initiate low-cost VoIP calls using the PortaSwitch callback engine. Its PortaSwitch platform is capable of handling the complete call control and converged VoIP billing functions of a digital services company.

According to Global communications, the PortaClient iPhone app offers customer information (balance, status and payment status); account information (contact, status, balance and validity); call processing; call list; and VoIP calling via PortaSwitch’s callback feature.

Roman Khalenkov, sales and marketing director of PortaOne, said: PortaOne’s new PortaClient iPhone app delivers benefits to end-users and service providers alike. For any ITSP running PortaSwitch, PortaClient is a powerful mobile enhancement for current and prospective subscribers. For any end customer who uses an iPhone, PortaClient is a terrifically convenient way to not only make low-cost VoIP calls on the go, but also to access their account information anytime.
