The CHROMOS11 is the first of a new generation of portable PerkinElmer test equipment products which complement the existing range of field portable chromatic dispersion test sets. The CHROMOS11 is the only portable chromatic dispersion analyzer commercially available that can characterize ultra-long haul optical networks incorporating embedded optical amplifiers. The use of tunable laser technology allows system analysts to accurately measure the total end-to-end dispersion of both repeaterless and line amplified systems with minimum disruption. The CHROMOS11 enables the performance of 10 and 40 Gbit/s testing in ultra-long haul point-to-point testing.
PerkinElmer’s NEXUS-PMD is one of a series of portable test instruments which provide accurate measurement of in-system polarization mode dispersion (PMD). This new instrument provides total end-to-end PMD measurement of systems with a minimum of disruption.
Both fiber optic test equipment products and other high performance optical networking products will be on display in the PerkinElmer Booth #662 at the Supercomm conference in Atlanta, Georgia, June 5 – 7, 2001.
