The script-blocking system prevents suspect email attachments from running and blocks the execution of malicious script using four types of scans to pick up viruses carried in macros, DOS and Win32 executables or scripts. The system is tied to the in-built firewall, which is configured using wizards.
Panda Antivirus Platinum 7.0 runs on Windows XP, Windows 2000 Pro, Windows NT 4.0 workstation, Windows Millennium, Windows 98, Windows 95 and integrates with Windows Explorer, Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes. Licenses for the $69 product can be downloaded online through a secure server and comes with a subscription to Panda’s daily update service of virus signature files that are broadcast to licensed users.
