Palmetto is part of a team led by prime contractor Computer Sciences for the unrestricted portions of CMS’ Enterprise System Development (ESD) contract, and part of a team led by prime contractor Quality Software Services for the portions of the contract reserved for small businesses. Palmetto will provide technical and analytical services to both contractors.
Under the ESD contract, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will award work to the contractors to acquire IT products and services, including software development and maintenance, systems maintenance, systems integration, and migration from legacy systems. The scope of work includes planning, design, development, testing, implementation, operations coordination and maintenance.
