Palm said the upgrade will give those users improved calendar functionality; email enhancements; live links to Microsoft SharePoint documents and the ability to set an out-of-office message and flag emails for follow-up from the device. It will also enable the Treo to be used as a high-speed wireless modem for laptops as it supports the HSDPA (High-speed Downlink Packet Access) standard for faster download speeds.
Palm said Windows Mobile 6 Professional also offers improved stability and an enhanced user interface.
