Orange Business Services will support the Office and Enterprise editions of Alcatel-Lucent’s OmniPCX IP PBX portfolio to underscore business telephony services, IP VPNs, fixed-mobile convergence, unified comms apps, and contact centers with multimedia traffic processing.

A spokesperson for Paris-based Alcatel-Lucent, said the deal is fundamentally different from its engagement with OBS’s rival in the global WAN connectivity market, BT Global Services, where it is building a platform from which to deliver an IMS-enabled service, specifically designed to deliver BT’s enterprise FMC.
