The Redwood Shores, California-based database and applications software maker hurdled an antitrust review by the US Federal Trade Commission, paving the way of the $440 acquisition.
The deal translates to $13.50 per Stellent share.
Oracle announced its intent to buy Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based Stellent last month. Stellent’s ECM suite helps companies manage documents, records, web content, email and other unstructured text data.
The ECM market has recently experienced a wave of rapid consolidation. Earlier this year IBM Corp acquired FileNet Corp and Open Text Corp recently wrapped up its merger with fellow Canadian rival Hummingbird Ltd.
