Prior to its $10bn acquisition by Redwood Shores, California-based Oracle, PeopleSoft operated two centers in Bangalore with the help of partners Hexaware Technologies and Covansys.
Hexaware provides software services globally to key verticals sectors including banking, financial services and healthcare. Covansys, which is based in Michigan, provides global consulting, technology and integration services and has a sharp focus on strategic outsourcing.
The purchase option was arranged by PeopleSoft back in 2003. The exact terms of the purchase have not been disclosed. The transfer is expected to be complete by the end of October 2005. No layoffs are expected.
