Oracle has acquired Datanomic, a provider of enterprise customer data quality software and related applications for Watch List compliance screening, as part of its data integration and master data management (MDM) offering.

The combination of data quality products from Oracle and Datanomic is expected to provide data quality capabilities for any data domain, including purpose-built capabilities for customer and product data.

Datanomic brings to Oracle its risk and compliance screening application that leverages Oracle’s Data Quality platform to provide an offering to the highly topical challenges that companies face in managing their Know Your Customer (KYC) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) obligations.

Oracle has already integrated Datanomic’s products with its Siebel CRM, Customer Hub (Siebel UCM) and its Data Integrator to enable existing customers of these products to take advantage of the Datanomic products.

Datanomic’s products are developed on open standards and designed to enable pre-built data quality-based applications such as Watch List compliance screening that can be delivered both by Oracle and by Oracle’s partner community.

Oracle Fusion Middleware Product Development senior vice president Hasan Rizvi said with the addition of Datanomic, Oracle will provide an integrated approach to enterprise-wide data quality including purpose-built capabilities for the major data types of customer, supplier and product data as well as for Watch List screening.

Datanomic chief executive officer Jonathan Pell ACA said with Datanomic as a part of Oracle, their customers can enjoy a more complete data quality management solution to ensure their data is fit for purpose, remains compliant with legislation and is managed most efficiently.
