The Broomfield, Colorado-based company provides support and services around OpenLogic Enterprise, its library of 300 certified open source projects. In May last year the company launched its Expert Community, a method for paying open source experts for their assistance in solving users’ technical problems.
That Expert Community is available to internal developers via the ExpertConnect Developer support offering, which is designed to accelerate open source deployment. Subscribers get support for six months on up to 20 certified software packages.
As well as 12-hour phone, email or web-based support and a four-hour response time, for their $17,500 users also get recommendations on the right software to use, help with configuration and installation and bug fixes.
The 24×7 production support, meanwhile, offers a one-hour response time with support for up to 10 packages as part of a single production application. The service costs $20,000.
