Novell Inc has signed a licensing agreement with the Eagle Technology business unit of Anthem Electronics Inc, whereby Eagle will manufacture and distribute the NetWare Starter System, a complete entry-level network computing package. The two companies are marketing the package to small businesses and workgroups as an all-in-one box at an affordable price. The system includes entry-level network operating system software, two Ethernet network interface cards, cabling, connectors and documentation. The network operating system is based on technology from Eagle’s ELS NetWare Level I. Pricing for the system with two NE1000 cards is $1,000. Eagle Technology pricing for the Micro Channel version including two NE/2 interface cards, is $1,155.
