The new Marshal Content Security system is designed to send scheduled emails to users who can also access their blocked email via a web management console from where they can take various actions.
Most anti-spam systems are now being developed with reporting features that will notify users every so often that there is a doubtful looking email in their in-box. The user can then decide to release it, mark it as spam or tag it as being a valid message from a trusted source. The process helps continually refine the spam rules base and is seen as a very simple but effective way of improving the email filter policy.
The line-up of NetIQ’s email management product set now includes NetIQ MailMarshal SMTP 6.0 and NetIQ MailMarshal 5.1 for Exchange, two packages that are fitted with the SpamCensor module, and NetIQ WebMarshal 3.5. This is designed to limit user browsing to only approved sites, while also blocking offensive content and viruses.
NetIQ MailMarshal SMTP 6.0 and NetIQ MailMarshal 5.1 for Exchange are priced at $2,160 for a 100-user license.
