The integrated product includes four gigabit LAN ports and dual band Wireless-N access point that enables high bandwidth connectivity for all users. The product offers two types of virtual private network tunnels, namely secure sockets layer and IP security to provide optimal secure connections for small and medium enterprise users.
According to Cavium, the Octeon Plus CN50XX family is expected to offer the choice of one or two 64-bit MIPS core devices, operating at 300-700MHz frequencies with multiple software and pin compatible processor options.
The Octeon CN50XX is claimed to provide an integrated 128Kb L2 cache, QoS, TCP, packet and security co-processing in hardware with set of interfaces such as TDM/PCM, multiple gigabit ethernet interfaces, PCI, USB 2.0 and many other standard interfaces.
