The combined effort will aim to produce a powerful new information architecture program specifically designed for pharmaceutical and life sciences companies.
As part of the agreement, the two companies will offer a variety of EII software aimed at increasing efficiencies and reduce the total cost of information integration, as well as providing real-time access to a variety of information sources.
MetaMatrix said its EII technology delivers information from a range of sources, both structured and non-structured, to provide a metadata based environment for information integration. This is intended to enable real-time feeds of information to enterprise subscribers in a cost-effective and timely manner, avoiding expensive and redundant cycles associated with traditional information integration models.
For its part, Ness Technologies said it will deliver knowledge of the pharmaceutical and life sciences market’s information needs and strategic programs.
One of the main challenges that we are hearing from our life sciences clients, is the need for information integration solutions that are not only seamless and enterprise-scale, but provide access to a broad range of information sources, including convergence of tabular and non-tabular information, said Shakthi Kumar, vice president of Ness’ Information architecture group. This will enable our life sciences clients to optimize their drug development processes and enhance business performance.
