An official from Mobile Telecommunications Technologies Corp sees the firm’s new nationwide wireless network up and running in the second half of 1995: the two-way data and personal communication network will require a $150m for build-out; it will target two groups – mobile professionals, of which there are 27m and two-income families, constituting another 50m people; the new network will offer information services, electronic mail and transaction services in addition to two-way paging capabilities; the expansion of current paging operations into international markets such as Peru and Colombia, as well as construction of the new network next year, Mobile Telecommunications will probably post operating losses in 1994 and 1995.
