There were more changes at Swedish e-business consultant Icon Medialab International AB yesterday, as it announced the resignation of five of its officers, a week after changing CEOs. Chief executive Franco Fedeli left the Stockholm-based company last week to be replaced by Ulf Dahlsten, a move which required a conference call to be convened rapidly to reassure the analyst community. Yesterday Icon announced that Ola Silberman (general counsel), Liia Nou (financial director), Jorgen Nilsson (business development director), Jerker Tojen (IT co-ordinator) and Lars Norberg (head of intellectual capital) would be leaving during the autumn.
A spokesperson for the company said Nilsson and Tojen’s resignations were directly related to Fedeli’s exit, whereas Silberman said he was leaving in mid-year, making it official this week after the change of CEO. Norberg spent only a week at the company and decided to move on.
Nou’s resignation was directly related to Dahlsten’s decision to move a set of key officers from Stockholm to Brussels, where he is based. The spokesperson said Nou was offered the option of moving but preferred to stay in Stockholm with her family. The spokesperson did admit that Fedeli’s resignation was the result of a disagreement with the owners, not over long-term strategy, but the day-to-day running of the business.
