MobileOne will launch the service, initially available for Nokia 3650 handsets, on June 2. The streaming service complements MobileOne’s video download service which was introduced in March.
Currently MobileOne claims to have more than 20 music videos and movie trailers which customers can download from the MiWorld mobile portal. The service will eventually host a library of clips from categories like Music and Entertainment, which will feature music videos and trailers for upcoming movies. Animation and Fashion content will also be available, along with news from Channel NewsAsia.
Standard GPRS charges of 1.04 cents/kb apply.
We’re very excited to launch this service because it’s something that we’ve always talked about in the past that’s becoming a reality today. Video streaming has taken mobile entertainment to the next level and we look forward to bringing more exciting content right into the palms of our customers, said Mr Neil Montefiore, MobileOne’s CEO.
