Davenport, formerly general manager of the North American region of Kodak’s global health group, replaces Tom Skelton who quit as CEO of the healthcare systems division in January after poor results.

Davenport has a big job on his hands. First-half results in January showed healthcare revenue down 3% at 143m pounds ($281.9m) with software order intake down 23% at 21m pounds ($41.4m).

Since his appointment as CEO in October, Lawrie has set about rebuilding the entire management team of the banking and healthcare software provider.
