Teraplex Inc, the Champaign, Illinois-based company that was attempting to create a new calls of Minimum Instruction Set Computing using a 65MHz microprocessor with fewer than 20 instructions, has shut up shop. The fledgling company says that it found itself in economic trouble, but because of the US recession, was unable to raise further finance; it is unable to comment on the future and its deal with Atmel to build the MISChip.
