The WAV drives’ Fast/Wide SCSI-2 interface provide twice the data throughput that narrow (8-bit) interface drives support. The Scorpio 9 model 1991WAV is a 5.25 drive with 9.1Gb formatted capacity, internal data rate of 47-77 Mbits per second and maximum sustained transfer rate of 6.9Mb per second. It costs $3,950. The Capricorn 4 model 3243WAV 3.5 drive provides 4.3Gb of formatted capacity and 7,200rpm spindle speed. The drive provides 46M-bits per second to 80Mbps internal data rate and an 8.9mS seek time. It offers an audio/video data rate of 4.0Mb per second with a maximum sustained transfer rate of 7.2Mb per second. It is $2,510. The Taurus 2 model 4221WAV offers 2.1Gb formatted capacity in a one-inch high form factor. It features a 7,200 rpm spindle speed and an 8.9mS seek time, has 49Mbps to 81Mbps internal data rate with a maximum sustained transfer rate of 7.3Mb per second. It is $1,950.
