Merchants Information Solutions, a provider of products such as identity theft management and recovery solutions to individuals and businesses, has partnered with HRsmart, an applicant tracking systems provider. Merchants’ employment background screening services will be integrated with HRsmart’s customizable applicant tracking system, which will enable companies to manage the entire recruitment and hiring process.

Many companies are facing a lack of skilled labor as the workforce dynamics continue to change and workforce population enters retirement. It is predicted that there will be an estimated shortage of 10 million workers by the year 2010.

Merchants’ operator agreement with HRsmart allows them to integrate their suite of employment background screening solutions, and integrity testing assessments into a single tool. It will also enable both the companies to configure customized solutions for their clients and allow them to manage all end-to-end HR-related activities.
In a similar alliance, HRsmart partnered with REAL People Group, a recruitment consultancy, to launch its talent management software solutions in the UK, in March 2006. HRsmart chose REAL People because of their strong presence in the UK and REAL’s focus to add complete suite of talent management solutions into their existing e-recruitment offering.
