Telefonica’s IPTV platform provides DVD-quality, video-on-demand services which enables subscribers to watch movies, documentaries, TV shows and newscasts at any time of day, controllable through DVD-like controls which allow users to fast forward, pause, or rewind the feature.
Under the agreement Lucent will assume responsibility for the future development and deployment of Telefonica’s IPTV middleware platform, including the ongoing introduction of new features and capabilities. Lucent will also market the platform beyond Spain.
