Professional social network LinkedIn has launched a job application plug in which will allow job seekers to apply for the job openings by sending their LinkedIn profiles directly to prospective employers.
The new feature, known as Apply With LinkedIn, allows employers to add a button to online job listings so the job seekers can click on it and send their information directly to the company.
When users click an Apply with LinkedIn button, the resume appears in a pop-up window which allows the users to make changes on the window to match the requirement of the job opening.
The job applicants will have an option to personalise the information with a cover letter.
The added feature is being launched to keep the social network ahead of other competitors as other networks such as Google’s Google +, which allows users to segregate contacts into a professional category.
