Licensees of Apple Computer Inc’s Mac OS that have been known about for over a year are still limping in with their formal announcements, and the latest is LG Electronics Inc. The company did not say anything about its mooted investment in the leading Mac cloner, Power Computing Corp, but confirmed that it would make Mac compatibles in South Korea – at a rate of 1,000 a month from September. Motherboards will be provided by Apple. We cannot tell, for now, whether we will sell the output in the domestic or export markets, LG said, and refused to give any details such as which models the company will be assembling.
