Lawson Software has developed a Knowledge Module(TM) (KM) that, when paired with BMC Software’s PATROL(R) solution, will allow users of Lawson’s lawson.insight(TM) applications to proactively monitor and manage their business-critical applications.

By using the Lawson KM for PATROL, users have the ability to monitor and manage the application’s major processes, logs and tables for abnormal conditions to assure its availability. The KM will notify application administrators via the PATROL Console when messages and warnings are triggered or when an automatic corrective action has been taken.
Specifically, lawson.insight users will gain monitoring and management capabilities in the following areas:
Security – Monitors the various security logs for new messages.
Process Availability – Monitors the three major processes in lawson.insight to assure availability and access to the application.
Process Functionality – Monitors the major log files to ensure correct functionality.
Batch Job Tracking – Alarms if a batch job is aborted. Jobs can be analyzed and restarted from the PATROL Console.
Lawson Database User Load – Active user processes that are connected to the database are monitored.
Lawson Storage Usage – Monitors size and count of files in critical application directories.
