AFP Technology and Lawson Software Inc said Friday they have entered into a product marketing agreement to deliver AFP’s FormScape enterprise output management solution to Lawson’s Insight ERP software. Under the agreement, AFP will deliver a ready-to-use, tailored product that enables FormScape’s electronic business forms to be used with Lawson’s software.
FormScape is an output management and electronic archiving solution that allows users to print electronic forms and other documents, formerly produced on multi-part stationery, on standard laser printers. The software receives output from any application software within Lawson’s Insight suite. It enables users to print files including electronic forms, Microsoft Windows fonts, barcodes, magnetic ink character recognition (MICR), graphics and images.
Additionally, intelligent conditional (if-then) logic can be applied to personalize the content and distribution of documents such as invoices, statements and sales reports, the company said. FormScape also manages the distribution of documents for workflow requirements, re-formatting the print data and outputting it to networked printers, fax servers, email and the web.
