Victor Co of Japan (JVC) has launched a data terminal based on Windows CE. The device has 32Mb of memory and uses a MIPS-based processor. It has a color LCD screen that can handle up to 65,536 colors. The device has an internal v.90 modem that can be connected to a digital mobile phone, while other interfaces include a USB port, an infrared port and a compact Flash interface. The device can be used as a portable video capture device and will be offered with an optional digital camera. According to AsiaBizTech, the device will be available in early September priced at 110,000 Yen ($907).
