Informix Software Inc, Menlo Park is teaming up with Texas Instrument Inc’s Software Business in a joint development and marketing deal to integrate the Texas Composer by Information Engineering Facility with Informix-OnLine Dynamic Server. The idea is to give customers an integrated package of application development and deployment tools so that current and future Composer users can quickly create and deploy enterprise mission-critical applications through a client-server model. Current clients with Composer applications on mainframes, for instance, should be able to downsize to a client-server environment without having to modify applications. A beta version of the Composer and OnLine Dynamic Server integration is planned for next quarter.
