Lyon-based multimedia software specialist Infogrames SA announced Saturday at Milia an exclusive agreement with Canal Plus Multimedia to distribute its titles through the year 2000. Infogrames also announced strong half-year results, following its acquisition last June of Philips Media, and of distribution companies Ecudis (France) and Bomico (Holland and Germany). The company’s revenues were up 165%, to approximately $135m. The acquisitions contributed approximately $42m, bringing its organic revenue growth to 83%. President Bruno Bonnell attributed much of the company’s success to the formidable success of its game V Rally, which has sold 1.5 million copies in the 57 countries where Infogrames is present. Bonnell said he expects to register total yearly revenues of approximately $200m.
