San Carlos, California-based internet software developer ImaginOn Inc has agreed to acquire Aspen, Colorado-based Imagine Digital Productions LLC, a designer of interactive CD-ROMs and internet web sites. It will merge the unit in with its ImaginOn.com operating unit and use the company’s technology to extend its own emergent non-relational Transformational Database Processing and Playback technology into areas such as advertiser-supported business models for the travel industry.
ImaginOn recently completed the acquisition of San Francisco- based internet service provider Inow from Network Specialists Inc. Its products include the WebZinger line of Web research assistants and sellONstream e-commerce software. ImaginOn won a place on Nasdaq through its acquisition last year of defunct publicly trading sporting good firm, California Pro Sports Inc, and has been trading since the beginning of this year.
