Rapidly running out of new countries to invade, Framingham, Massachusetts-based International Data Group is helping to start PC World Vietnam: the first issue, with an initial circulation of 10,000, will be published in October from Ho Chi Minh City, which is still called Saigon by the vast majority of its sturdily politically incorrect inhabitants, and will serve a market with an official estimate of 20,000 personal computer installations; the country has 66m population and boasts a 90% literacy rate, and the the University of Ho Chi Minh City alone is said to have more than 2,000 students majoring in computer science at the undergraduate level; partner in the publishing venture is the Vietnam Centre for Scientific and Technological Information.
