IBM UK has announced ADPS/SSADM which provides on-line project management support for SSADM-based development projects using SSADM version 3: the product was developed as a collaborative effort between IBM and a development team from the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Authority, while consultancy was provided by the Central Computer & Telecommunications Agency, and as the project was to define a new process definition and did not require coding development, a metatool was not used; the product will be available to customers during this quarter – an IBM spokesman said that APDS/SSADM was developed to support SSADM version 3, rather than the most recent version 4 because in October when the project was started the specifications for version 4 had not yet arrived.
