IBM’s DirectTalk is a voice processing platform that brings expanded functionality to Interactive Voice Recognition applications, including advanced speech recognition and the VoiceXML standard for voice-enabling the Web. DirectTalk can answer and process many calls simultaneously, reducing caller wait time and improving customer satisfaction.

ADC’s SS7 solution enables us to meet global SS7 standards and deploy new services quickly, said Colin Setford, marketing programs manager, IBM Voice Systems. DirectTalk, with SS7, will allow network operators to provide enhanced services such as unified messaging, call screening, call waiting, and call routing.

Voice recognition is coming to the forefront of business applications and becoming a viable and highly efficient way to manage communications, said Mark Hudson, vice president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa Region for ADC’s Enhanced Services Division. Products like DirectTalk will play a big role in changing how we communicate and get information in the future.
