IBM Corp has rolled out end-to-end support services for Linux at the Linux World Conference and Expo. The company boasts of having hired 300 Linux experts around the world to work in its Global Services division. They will offer consulting, planning, implementation, infrastructure design, network design, web server implementation and application, database and cluster enablement services to IBM’s Linux customers. Big Blue has also announced a NetFinity Server built from the ground up to run Linux, a joint sales and marketing agreement with distributor Red Hat Software Inc and ports of its Domino R5 and Tivoli Framework software platforms to the open source operating system.
