From the preview material we’ve seen this year, there is some fantastic stuff at this year’s Edinburgh Festival and if we weren’t stuck here in London producing Computergram, we’d make a beeline for the exhibition of late 19th and early 20th century French painting, the galaxy of shorts in the Film Festival, the dramatisation of Marsha Hunt’s book, Brendan Behan’s The Hostage, and lead-in-to-the-Nazi era German painting, but what we didn’t know until we heard it on BBC Radio Five Live’s Financial World Tonight is that IBM UK Ltd is one of the handful of major corporate sponsors of this wondrous flowering of all the arts – but then if you are investing all that money, why don’t you tell everybody?
