IBM has licensed the Hoechst Celanese Corp arm of Hoechst AG to manufacture photoresist systems developed by IBM and sell them under the Hoechst label – the first time IBM photoresists will be offered for general sale to the semiconductor industry: the agreements cover G-line and I-line photoresists only, and IBM and Hoechst will work together to develop enhanced I-line products for IBM and the industry.
